Bella's First Walk With the Dogs

It was a gorgeous day today, and Bella loved the ride in her sweet stroller. She's taken a lot of walks on these streets with her mom during the past nine months, so she was excited to see what it looks like outside in the sunlight.

Bella's First Bath

Bella got her first bath today. She seemed to really like it. Until it was time to get dressed. The dogs even helped Mommy as soon as they heard her crying. She was very happy afterwards, and you can even see a few curls in her hair.

Back to the Hospital

Bella had to go back to hospital today for another weigh in. Luckily she's been eating enough and we were free to go home...again. On the way back, she was making dinosaur arms in her car seat just like Mommy does. Daddy is going to have to make fun of both of us now.

Bella's New Best Friend

Bella met her friend Regan today when Jacque and Regan came to visit. Maybe next time Bella will be more awake so they can play.

Finally Home

We finally got home on Monday afternoon. We were very happy to be able to relax. Daddy has already started teaching Bella about the world. He was reading to her about Angola. She seemed very interested. You can really see their matching hairlines in this picture. :) Two peas in a pod.

Heading Home

Bella is all ready to go home! And so are we. Luckily she passed all of her tests, so we could be released. Good job Bella! It looks like the whole experience just tired her out.

Hospital Day 2

Today we had a few hospital visitors. Vicki came by last night--but we forgot to take a picture. Sorry Vicki! My sister, Robin and her family also came. It was great to see them. Bella was excited to meet her Aunt and Uncle and her cousins. My mom came a brought me flowers in a vase that her mother gave her when I was born. That was a very special gift. The hospital has been nice, but we're ready to go home!!

Bella is Here!!!!

Isabella Juliet arrived on Saturday, 25 August at 2:31 am. She weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 21 1/4 inches long. She had a bunch of dark hair--like Daddy. And big hands and feet! She is adorable. We're so happy that she's here and healthy.

Baby Gear Everywhere!

We've been setting up more baby gear. Capo is mystified by all of the baby stuff. He can't figure out why we're getting all these crazy gadgets. He'll figure it out pretty soon!

The Baby Room

We finally finished the baby room too! At least Bugaboo seems to really like it in there. I FINALLY got a few days off of work. That makes it a lot easier to get things done around the house. :) Once my due date arrived, I convinced my boss that it wouldn't be cool if my water broke at work, so I got permission to work from home until the baby arrives. Yay!! C'mon baby, we're ready for you! . . . I think

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom's birthday was on the 15th, but we celebrated it today. She came into town for the weekend to move her things into the downstairs master bedroom---which is now the "in-law suite". She is moving in with us to help with Bella when I go back to work. Lots of exciting things are happening around here! We're excited to have her.

Our New Room!!

For those of you who don't know, we've been working on adding an upstair master bedroom for the past three months. The contractors finally finished it today. Yay!!!! So here's a preview of the new room. It turned out awesome! I feel like we moved into a new house. Now we're ready for the baby to come.

Happy Anniversary To Us!!

Not only did they finish the bedroom today, but it's also our fourth anniversary. What a great anniversary present! Todd and I went out to dinner and a movie. AND speaking of great anniversary gifts--Todd gave me a beautiful painting as an anniversary/baby present. We had seen the painting in Portsmouth one day when we were shopping around between doctor's appointments. We immediately loved the painting, so he went back to get it for me thinking that we could pass it down to Bella when she gets old enough. When he went back, the painting was gone to another gallery. Rather than bring the painting back from Georgetown, the artist offered to paint another painting just for us. The original painting had two little girls in it. Todd asked if he could do this one with just one little girl. So, that's what he did. It turned out perfectly! Thanks for such a wonderful gift, Todd! It couldn't be more perfect.
